Excellent Buy, Generous Fit,
I bought these boots for one specific reason – I need boots that are generous in the calf. I’d tried several makes of wellies and the standard fit ones weren’t large enough to cope with my legs plus trousers tucked in, which sort of defeats the object of wellies. Nowhere could I find details of calf sizes on any boots I’d seen on the web, and I didn’t want short boots, but I figured these, with the expanding gusset, must do the job. I gambled and bought; and I’m glad I did. They fit my calves a treat. I’m surpised that the calf measurement isn’t mentioned anywhere, as for me, so I guess others, is such an important factor before buying. I’m happy to advertise these boots (size 9.5/44) expand to a good 50cm around the top. They are generous fit all round so plenty of room for thick socks too if required though the neoprene lining really is warm enough on it’s own.
