So far so good.,
I bought these wellies about three weeks ago.
Since then we have had some very wet weather, which has given the opportunity to try them out over the (very muddy) fields where I walk the dog.
Initial impressions are good. For the price they seem well made and unlike some others I have had in the past, the insole hasn’t been sliding around causing your socks to end up in the toe end of the boot.
Grip in the mud was pretty good. Not as good as walking boots but fine for my intended use. (I wouldn’t want to go hiking in them, but for dog walking or gardening they seem OK)
The rubber is pretty soft, which is comfortable to wear, but I’m not sure about how long they will last, but compared with the price of a pair of ‘Hunters’, I think the Regatta boots are a pretty good bet.

|Regatta Men’s Classic Country Wellies,
These wellington boots are made from soft, flexible rubber with a soft cloth lining, making walking easy, keeping out damp and retaining warmth within. Unlike certain rubber boots, the size 11 pair I purchased has a broad fitting and matches my foot dimensions. The uppers are wide enough to accommodate both trousers and legs. My impression is that the boots are robust enough to withstand bad weather and comfortable enough to wear during country walks. They have an attractive, understated appearance. The colour choice of black or dark olive for men could be improved by offering men the two-tone choices currently available only in women’s sizes. Men’s wellingtons in the 1950s and 1960s were often made in black with contrasting white or grey bands around the top and foxing of the same contrasting colour around the foot above the sole. I would have bought a two-tone pair if they had been available in size 11. The labels on the front of the boots could also be made in brighter, contrasting colours such as red rather than colours that blend in with the dominant colour of the boots. The black label on the front of the black version of the wellingtons can barely be seen. The price set for these wellingtons is reasonable, but some local stores sell the same boots several pounds cheaper.
